A line skirts

Just like their name, the A-line skirt is shaped like the alphabet ‘A’, which means that it is narrow at the waist, emphasizing the hips, and then flares out as it flows down. These can range in length, from knee to the ankle, to myriad fabrics, from cotton to silk and denim. An absolutely flattering and feminine choice for formal as well as casual occasions.
Since it draws attention to the waistline, these are best suited for women of a curvier stature, especially those with a pear-shaped body or hourglass figure. The flare of the skirt helps hide their heavy hips and bottom.
If you’re on the shorter side, go for a shorter hemline; if you’re taller, opt for a midi length.

You can wear A-line skirts to almost all occasions. You just need to select the right style for the right setting. An embellished or ethnic A-line skirts are great for festivities and weddings. A colour blocked or solid coloured especially in blacks, grey, brown, beige or navy is a great option for workwear. Similarly, floral or patterned ones are perfect options for a day out with girls shopping!

Tip: Not a great choice for petite girls.
